Chup for 3sixteen: FW16 Makeups.
We are happy to announce that for the FW16 season we have once again partnered up with Japanese-based sock maker CHUP to produce two new styles. CHUP specializes in making socks that have both the look and pattern of hand-knit varietals; this is accomplished using vintage knitting machines that are only able to produce limited quantities from season to season due to the complexity of the patterns that CHUP designs. This year, we chose a Native American pattern of theirs called "Missouri" that bears elements of costumes worn during a traditional sun dance; we paired it with accent colors that can be found throughout our FW16 collection. In keeping with last year's collaboration, all blue shades of yarn in these socks are indigo-dyed to provide a color with complexity and depth that will fade over time.
CHUP for 3sixteen socks are shipping out to retailers along with the first delivery of FW16 and will retail for $35. We will be launching them on our website shortly.
