Aviator Satin Down Jackets.
Our 5th annual collaboration project with Seattle-based outerwear manufacturer Crescent Down Works releases this week and features something new in both silhouette and execution. Back in 2019, we partnered with them to run a custom version of their Hooded Pullover jacket using repurposed military surplus fabrics. This year, we produced the same jacket in a full-zip version - a style that is not currently represented in their lineup, and one that is a lot more functional and easier to put on and take off. We’ve employed our in-line gunmetal YKK double zips for added functionality.
The body of the jacket features a robust 5oz. aviator satin that’s been given a water repellent treatment - it’s a mil spec fabric that you’d typically find on military bombers. The jacket is lined with a yellow streakfree nylon and filled with approximately 8oz of ethically sourced 700+ fill power goose down. Our goal with this year’s collaboration was to design a highly functional winter coat that could hang in the worst of conditions on your daily commute, and we feel pretty good with the outcome.
The Crescent Down Works for 3sixteen Aviator Satin Down Zip releases this Tuesday, December 13th, at noon EDT on 3sixteen.com, and in store via our NY & LA flagship stores on the same day. The jacket comes in three colors - Slate, Olive and Black - and retails for $660.
