Our partnership with Canadian-based bootmakers Viberg has been one of our most rewarding ones over the years. We’ve become close friends with the team there and have worked with them to make quite a few fun boot styles since we first started working together in 2013. We hosted a pop-up shop in our old showroom space over five years ago as well as an MTO event at our LA Flagship this past year. To us, Viberg embodies so many values that we strive for as a brand: longevity, consistency and an unyielding desire to make a stronger product from season to season.  

To celebrate our 15 year anniversary, we partnered with Viberg to produce a small capsule collection of products made from the same leather. We chose  Horween's Petro Chamois roughout, a heavily oiled nubuck with deep navy and grey undertones and a beautiful, inconsistent waxy hand. In some ways, it reminds us of the custom black roughout that we had Horween develop for our Schott collaboration, except in a dark navy color that looks black in certain lighting. We applied the leather first to a plain toe Service Boot makeup on the 2040 last, and opted to add an inner side zip - a detail we've wanted to employ on a Viberg makeup for some time now. The boot features a T5 Superlampo zipper, stitchdown construction, antique nickel eyelets, natural midsole, and a Vibram 2060 sand wedge sole.

The accessories we produced with Viberg have been a part of their product offering for two years now; while they don't garner as much attention as their footwear, we love the fact that they are made to exacting standards and feature the same beautiful craftmanship and hardware used on their boots. To accompany our Side Zip Service Boots, we had Viberg make tote bags and utility pouches out of the same Petrol Chamois roughout and are excited to offer them up as part of our 15 year collaboration. The tote bag is a fairly large size (14" x 13.5" x 6.75") which allows it to function well as an everyday carrier, or for a quick overnight bag. It's unlined and features a sole zip pocket for valuables; this clean, simple envelope construction allows the leather to take center stage. The pouches come in three sizes to accommodate a variety of organizational needs, and they work very nicely paired with the tote, featuring the same T5 Superlampo zipper that's found on the side-zip boot.

Please note that while the entire collection launches on 3sixteen.com on Friday, January 11th, the boots are still in production with Viberg with an expected completion date of February 1st. All boot orders placed between now and completion will function as a preorder, and will ship as soon as they land at our warehouse. The accessories collection is available now and ships immediately.
